School Feedback

From staff and pupils at Clenchwarton, West Lynn, Snettisham, Heacham, Whitefriars, Gaywood  and Sandringham:

  • It was great that she came to our school.
  • The children were enthralled by the performances, they made excellent observations and asked pertinent questions- real awe and wonder!
  • It was really nice to see the violin since I had never seen one played before.
  • Pupils and staff alike found her mesmerising and inspirational. She had a charming manner with the children: she really was delightful.
  • It was fabulous. I loved it. My favourite instrument was the flute
  • It was the best day of my life. I liked all your instruments.
  • Thank you for coming. It was amazing.
  • Thanks for letting us touch the saxophone
  • The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and were engaged throughout. The two musicians interacted well with the whole school in the hall which was a delight to see.
  • We were all impressed with the professionalism and skills that the musicians brought to our school. Experiencing different types and styles of live music first hand is really powerful for the children.
  • Children you wouldn’t expect to comment did so. They were incredibly excited about all of the instruments.
  • The musicians were really engaged and entertained the children and the staff. The performances were fantastic! It was fantastic how the musicians responded to the children’s questions and explained and talked about their lives as a musician.
  • The children all thoroughly enjoyed the recital. Lots of them had never heard an opera singer before. They thought her voice was beautiful. Those that play instruments were blown away with how  quickly the pianist played. They were keen to ask questions and find out more about singing and how the voice works. The buzz during the recital was amazing.
  • It was well organised and pitched at the right level for the children. The inter-action between the musicians and children was very strong and positive…There were good links to literacy and particularly reading skills – the children clearly had to infer emotions and plot line from what they heard.

CMR Organisation

  • The event was really well organised. Regular contact was made with myself and the school prior to the visit, including a pre-visit meeting where the venue and health and safety were discussed. The school and myself were really impressed.
  • Very well organised. All professional and friendly.
  • It was discussed at our staff meeting that we would love to have more events with CMR.
